Twelve civil society organisations representing different areas of logistics joined forces to establish the Unity in Logistics Platform ahead of the elections for the İstanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) 24th Transport and Logistics Services Professional Committee.

The platform decided to act together to address common sector challenges and strengthen its representation within İTO.

“All the challenges facing our sector are shared”

Hacı Kutlar, who played a leading role in establishing the platform, stressed the importance of bringing different logistics representatives together around a shared vision. He said: “All the challenges facing our sector are shared; solutions are therefore possible only through collective thinking and working shoulder to shoulder. The solidarity platform we have established is fully open to all our associations, unions and stakeholders. We will continue to come together under one roof and strengthen our collective voice to bring Turkish logistics to the position it deserves.”

A joint message from 12 organisations: “Time for unity in the sector”

The meeting, attended by the presidents of associations, unions and cooperatives, addressed common challenges in logistics and proposed solutions. Participants stressed that bringing organisations from different parts of the sector together around a shared approach would strengthen logistics representation within İTO. They agreed on the need for stronger solidarity and a joint representation mechanism to address the challenges facing the sector.

The platform welcomes new stakeholders

Formed by 12 different organisations, the Unity in Logistics Platform became a notable example of the sector's search for unity and joint representation ahead of the İTO 24th Committee elections. The platform is expected to remain open to new stakeholders. Its message emphasised collective thinking, strong representation and greater solidarity in addressing the logistics sector's shared challenges.
